We do our best work with brands with a story to tell. The 37 Signal’s and Bellroy’s of this world inspire us to do better work and to continue to explore how the web can be used to tell stories and ultimately, sell products.
There’s a little art, a little design and a lot of love for the emotional connections that we can make with companies. The chance to work with the entrepreneurs of Melbourne working hard to sell product and create relationships with customers gives us a kick.
We’re on the lookout for sharp operators who love eCommerce, know the web, can build websites and know how to treat others, customers or not. See open positions.
It’s funny how life works. I was a customer of Scott’s previous business and met Jordy developing a website for a charity that he founded. Today we’re business partners.
As it turned out, Jordy ran a marketing agency (as did I) and would have me develop websites and online stores for his customers. After seeing more and more of my work coming from eCommerce, I started to dig deeper into the industry and by 2013 I knew it was where I wanted to be.
I gave Jordy a call one Friday afternoon and floated the idea of joining forces making online stores. I knew his customers loved working with him, we got along well and he had a background in design. I mentioned I knew of a third bloke who was of an older vintage but knew the eCommerce space better than anyone else I’d come across. He’d actually been on the other side of the table grilling web designers about getting his own website done right.
I reached out to Scott who had just returned from a well-deserved holiday after exiting his award-winning upcycled fashion accessory brand haul earlier in the year. After a few java’s and a beer or two, we were confident we had the team to build a company solving the problems he faced as a business in the retail game.
